Marathon Sets All-Time Fundraising Record at $38.7 Million

The Athletic Association today announced coaching changes to the High Performance team. Ricardo Santos, head coach of the High Performance team since February of 2018, has accepted a position as distance running coach at Stanford University, and will begin his new position in September. Morgan Uceny, a 2012 Olympian at 1,500-meters, has been named interim head coach of the High Performance team as the organization begins a search for the next coach.

2020 Marathon Qualifier Acceptances Announced

The Athletic Association today continued its notification to qualified applicants of their acceptance into the 2020 Marathon. In preparation for the 2020 Marathon, implemented the same registration process for qualified runners as used in recent years, allowing the fastest qualifiers to register first. The 124th Marathon will be held on Monday, April 20, 2020.

Champions Set to Square Off at Half Marathon

The Athletic Association today announced the elite field for the 19th annual Half Marathon, presented by Cancer Institute . Headlining the men’s field is 2012 Marathon champion Wesley Korir, who will toe the line against three-time Half Marathon champion and fellow Kenyan Daniel Salel. Ethiopia’s Gotytom Gebreslase and Kenya’s Monicah Ngige, both podium finishers a year ago, lead the women’s field. The Half Marathon will be run this Sunday, October 13 at 8:00 a.m..

Pair of Course Records Fall at 2019 Half Marathon

On a picture-perfect day for road racing, 6,341 participants took part in today’s 19th annual Half Marathon, presented by Cancer Institute . Kenyans swept the top spots of the podium, as Brillian Kipkoech set a new women’s course record of 1:07:40 and Philemon Kiplimo broke the tape in 1:01:58 to win the men’s title. In the wheelchair division, Massachusetts native Katrina Gerhard set a course record, and University of Arizona student-athlete Miguel Vergara topped Tony Nogueira in a photo-finish.
